22 Apr Ticks Suck!
Tick are very prevalent this time of the year and they are on the move. They attach to you or your pet and start to feed. Removing a tick is tricky because if the head is not removed infection can set in. The most effective way to remove a tick is to use tweezers. Any other method will cause the tick to bury in deeper to the skin. After spending any time in the yard or where ticks may be present take a shower to remove the tick before it has a chance to latch on. Also, remember to launder the clothes you were wearing or put them in the dryer on high heat to kill any wondering ticks. Be vigilant in checking kids and pets for ticks if they have been playing outdoors. Ford’s Hometown Services has a great Tick/Mosquito Program to protect your yard from these blood-sucking pests, please call for more information and ask about our 7% off program special 1-800-649-9992.
